Wooo it's Touch Grass Thursday!! (that's right I'm doing this twice a week. maybe more...)

Finally a break from the oppressive overcast skies we've been under for actual weeks!! There was some especially beautiful lighting as the clouds finally broke in the evening a few days ago

Woooo it's Touch Grass Tuesday!! The internet is cool (AND THERE'S PORN HERE) but remember the world outside is also pretty fucking rad.

Here's a stunning Spotted Shag (Kawau tikitiki) coming into their breeding plumage; I got very lucky and found a local colony down some cliffs on the weekend

LOOK at these beautiful puppets they made for all the closeups!! The seamless cuts between them and CGI; the thoughtful body language and behaviours in every second of screentime?? Don't get me started on how modern nature docos sanitize nature and disney-ify the animals (dino or otherwise)
