Another reason I never watched it. Both 'Friends' and 'Seinfeld' are interesting as studies of middle-class New York culture. I just didn't personally find them funny.

. . . Prairie Home Companion once did a bit about the first coin laundromat in Lake Wobegon. People told the owner it could not do business, as they were sure everyone in town owned their own house and had their own washer and drier. They were wrong, of course.
