I am a voracious reader of fiction, memoirs, some history, art, nature. I am trying to redirect my life away from social justice action and institutions and just to being kind to the people in my life and spending more time with friends.

Amazing Maisie on her first day home, quite emancipated. Now she is a sweet fat cat.

Sure to LC brain fog I have started but not finished several books. This one I finished and recommend. An imaginative, poignant, and uplifting look at Hillary’s life if she never married Bill. Unfortunately for me, her relationship with Bill reminded me of my first marriage.

The last 3 books I’ve read and another Val McDermid Darker Domain (forgot to take a photo before putting in the little free library across the street). As you can see this is the reading of somebody with brain fog. I didn’t have to think too hard especially with One Day. #longcovid

Just because

Unusual premise (fictional accounting based on Laura Bush’s life), engrossing read. Well written. Inventive. Exploration of a marriage and reminder we do not know the personal lives of those in public life

Couple of photos of Sassy, the squirrel Greg rescued from a neighborhood cat and Leslie has cared for these last four years. You can see she’s missing a leg

I love Kate Atkinson and the Jackson Brodie series. But for some reason could not concentrate to fully enjoy this on my trip. Read it and tell me it’s great

Home from my trip so time to fill you in on the two books I finished on it. Two Times Murder left me cold. Probably because of the cold, dull writing. Both the character and the plot have so much potential. Probably make a good tv series

Home from Tucson for the unveiling of my Mom’s headstone. May her memory be for a blessing

The cool air and sunrise were calling. But I couldn’t go for a walk because I’m conserving my energy for chanting with friends. Long covid. So this photo is from my back porch

Torbies are the best

Jewish girl, catholic boy grow up together in Italy. Are young adults during WW11. Not bad but I was disappointed. I was captivated by “Where the Lost Wander.”

Greg always insists on tucking Maisie in

This is Dusty Rose, my Torbie from back when I mostly listened to music on records (and a few tapes) that I kept in crates. I had the honor of watching her be born when Francine, my Queen, came and got me before giving birth

Life is good when you’re a Torbie

Funny/Sad, thought provoking in love, family and race. I’ll be reading more by her
