As I got older I stopped this. I cared more about staying up late than enjoying the morning
But I just did it again, as I'm trying to fix my sleep by sleeping earlier, and I feel fulfilled. I get why younger me did this so much, it's so nice just having a period to jump into your own little world

Unironically, this is the method for CRT TV owners. Basically every streaming website has anime in 16:9 and 4:3 has been lost. The only way we've been able to get 4:3 aspect ratio, outside of OG DVDs, is to have a PS3 or x360 with Netflix so we can watch it w/o the black bars or stretched visual

It's a TV and not a monitor though so I have fuck with the aspect ratio and use a bunch of cords to connect it to my PC but its such a vibe. Do yourself a favor and just play the title screens of old games off its speakers (if it has built in ones)
