That’s not Centrism, that your misunderstanding.
August 28, 2025 at 5:40 AM
I don’t know if you’re purposely missing the point, but if you re-read my previous post it’s quite clear. You just seem to prove the point that either side, Left and Right seem incapable having a good faith discussion.
August 27, 2025 at 1:36 PM
My point is just one side is saying all immigrants are bad, and the other saying all immigrants are refugees. Neither are true.
August 27, 2025 at 12:57 PM
Point proven, the inability to have a sensible grown up discussion. You take an issue where there is clearly one correct side and try to show horn it into an unrelated discussion. Well done 🙄
August 27, 2025 at 12:17 PM
You’d think that there would be a party that represents the views in the middle but Left and Right have demonised the Centrist as if trying to finding solutions that involve compromise from both sides is the worst thing in the world.

we can acknowledge the benefits/needs of immigrants, the moral duty to help our share of refugees, the understanding that you can’t just allow endless numbers into the country as the infrastructure can’t handle it and it’s the young and poor who are most affected by pressures on housing……
August 27, 2025 at 9:58 AM
I find all discussion on this matter disingenuous from both sides. The Left talks about Refugees, the Right Illegal Immigrants, neither side seem willing/capable of distinguishing between Refugees, Asylum Seekers, Economic Immigrants, Illegal Immigrants. Why can’t we have an adult debate where….

Yep, I tired of hearing ‘Arteta HAS to win something this year. Or Gary Neville saying Gykorese desperately needs a goal after 43 mins into his second match. Everyone wants to stick the boot into other teams just so no one sticks the boot into theirs.

I always thought those redneck militia living in the woods, paranoid about Government overreach were nut jobs…turns out they might have been right all along (apart from the racism and hate part).

The irony is I know
People who laugh at Trump yet will vote Reform. Farage is following the exact playbook that Trump did because he knows it’ll work.

‘Back by Dope Demand’ by King Bee would have been a good song for the pod…….or Roy Orbison , ‘Crying’ for the Spuds 😉

How does this rank in the list of Tottenham shaftings?
1- Signing Sol for nothing.
2- Stealing Ez at the 11th hour.
3- Manu Petite taking the taxi Spurs paid for from Shite Hart Lane to Highbury and signing for The Arsenal.

Couldn’t agree more. I think I’m limiting myself to one podcast a week this season so as to avoid any positive or negative being blown out of proportion. I can see we didn’t play great but won, now focus on Leeds.

But Rice is the same age as MO, so it’s not a generational thing. Look at Man U, Fernandez is proof that captaincy matters isn’t he? I think MO is a good captain, but perhaps Rice is a great captain. Defying instructions to cross against Madrid and scoring the FK might be an example of this. 😊
August 14, 2025 at 12:26 PM
want to achieve anything. MO seems to be a fine skipper, but just that. Lovely guy, maybe a little ‘beige’. Rice’s personality seems to be someone more inspiring who will find something special. Seems odd that people who have never played are dismissive of our greatest ever captains opinion.

I’m not sure we quite understand just what The Captain does at a club. It’s not just putting an armband on a match day, it’s everday and many aspects of the club. I play cricket with someone who has been in football all his life and had success managing. He said a good captain is vital if you …
August 14, 2025 at 6:50 AM
I think the ‘cerebral fan’ likes to think that a captain doesn’t matter, perhaps they think it’s a bit basic, but they do. If we’d had Adam’s, Vieira or Rice in 2008 we’d have probably won the league, but we had a guy who had a tantrum instead of rousing his teammates & leading by example.

Chelsea are the Donald Trump of football clubs. Everything around them stinks of bending the rules or worse yet they always manage to avoid actual punishment.
August 12, 2025 at 12:07 PM
Spot on. We’re a much stronger squad this season than this time last year, as are Liverpool. Think the last two weeks of podcasters and social media voices wetting the bed over a couple of friendlies has polluted fans minds.
August 11, 2025 at 12:28 PM
The modern day Matt Le Tissier…… should really have tried his luck at a better club but obviously wanted to be a big fish in a small pond……polluted with raw sewage.

Anyone saying “it’s too white, it’s Spurs kit” needs to look at the history of Arsenal away kits. We wore white for years, long before the preferred yellow and blue was introduced.

Good luck to him, it was a travesty that Danny Pol Pot’s career was overshadowed by his Grandads shenanigans.

Great pod Tim. My great grandfather, Herbert ‘The Rabbit’ Kingaby was the first footballer to challenge the ‘transfer and retain’ system 60 yrs before Eastham. He took Villa to court but lost and I believe bankrupted the players union.
