It covered the juggernaut of alcohol advertising but it is more than that, it’s a societal brain washing that alcohol is the response to ever scenario. I call this “normalising drinking” and I usually see at least one example of this every day. I’ll post about it when I see it from now on.

Watched the “binge drinking and me” Panorama last night. I stopped drinking alcohol on 1 Jan 2024 initially to do dry Jan but have extended this to the whole year. Probably more now as the benefits far outweigh what I have “given up”

Of course the amount of money raised would not have happened if he had not been sanctified by the media but that canonisation was exploitative and hysterical. For me it showed how dangerously and easily the general public can be manipulated. It smelt off to me and now we see it was.

I disengaged from the Cpt Tom Moore story early, when the corporate twitter a/c was set up. Initially he was doing rehab exercise in the home he didn’t normally live in (local witnesses) and a sweet story to raise money on the back of that was infantilised by the media and it went to their heads.
