Updates from my friend Bahaa in north Gaza on food prices. There are still many things missing, but flour and sugar have dropped 10x in price. Now is a great time to donate to people in Gaza. Replying to my text: "I've read that some food has started getting in - is that happening what you are?" Bahaa's response: "It's true that everyone is shocked by the gradual drop in prices But only a few items, but a lot of things are still missing. In addition, we hear the sounds of explosions all the time. Since yesterday, they have not stopped until now. Bombing and martyrs every minute. Sugar was priced at 500 shekels per kilo. equivalent to $150 And when you need that amount, you will have to withdraw cash with a 50% commission." Bahaa's text continued: "Its price has doubled to 1000 shekels, equivalent to $300. Today its price dropped from 500 shekels to 50 shekels" Bahaa's text continued: "The price of flour has dropped to 20 shekels per kilo after it had risen to 300 shekels per kilo. Yes, but I hope that trucks continue to enter, because when Israel closes the crossings for just one day, prices begin to rise. Shells are now hitting the city center and the army is advancing towards the city center. It seems that they have displaced us and there will be another displacement soon and evacuation orders. Famine on the one hand And bombing and explosions on the other hand And displacement followed by another displacement This life has become so disgusting It's understandable and I keep holding on to it. It keeps dying day by day.
