Burnaby: Human scale.
There's new development, but it's mainly highrises compounds. No other option for housing, street network not dense enough and car depended, not enough bike infrastructure and not a lot of quality public space for people in the neighborhood level.

Despite the rain, so many people showed up at the #SaveTheBus rally today in Metrotown to demand no transit cuts, only more funding!
We need more buses. Cutting transit funding is not an option.

100% look at Japan for instance, the car over there fit the city and people, not the other way around. We've become addicted to "bigger and stronger" and mistakenly associate it with "better"

Perfect Sunday afternoon today at the Woodland bike bridge! With @StrongTownsVancouver & @VisionZeroVancouver we set up benches, planters, and games, turning it into a real community hangout.
Public spaces are for people, not just cars. Hope it will continue and grow!
