The way to do it would be to engineer two by-elections - Lewis steps down in Norwich, while a Labour MP in Manchester (of whom there are 25), perhaps in a marginal seat, steps down to make way for Burnham and contests Lewis's seat in Norwich. Simples.

Not sure this theory adds up. with a female Chancellor, a female Home Secretary, and a female Foreign Secretary, to be honest.
