It seems like there is no high quality research into these really important questions, a point seemingly acknowledged by all the meta studies including the one cited above. A careful reading of the quoted snippet confirms this. It shouldn’t be controversial to expect proper research on this.

If PBs are considered as being a harmless way to stop the clock to allow a child time to think, how long do such children have to think before a decision is made for them? And what are the health effects of skipping it all together? 3/

It seems that PBs are safe for early onset puberty, when used to delay for a few years, allowing it to happen at a more normal age. What I’m asking is, what rigorous studies have examined other cases when puberty is blocked to a later age? Are they reversible at age 18 for example? 2/

Sealioning. Good term. New one on me. To frame my original question in a different way - “if PBs are reversible, what are the limits of that reversibility and how healthy is it when they are not reversed?” 1/

Can you help me find evidence that puberty blockers are safe and reversible? I haven’t been able to find any peer reviewed studies for this.
