I've been using Firefox forever. It has all sorts of anti-ad plugins that the browser from the ad capital of the universe won't allow
Keep Chrome around though. You'll find websites that don't work with Firefox.

Same here. One day, I'm installing a #7 gizmo so I can say "Alexa, turn on the toothbrush" and the next I'm removing all the WiFi enabled wall switches and installing giant knife switches

My neighbor gave me a pink HP Stream w/Windows on it. It was a ridiculously underpowered piece of junk the day it was built and became completely non-functional when the latest update hit it.
I put Mint on it. Painless. Works OK for sitting on the porch and ordering groceries from Walmart.
