Rent control has certain drawbacks but you seem to agree that building housing is a solution, so that’s great!

I’m happy to hear your answer, but if it doesn’t involve building more housing it probably won’t work.

My model predicts that an increase in supply will lower the price if demand stays the same. I didn’t invent it though.

If you want your town’s housing to get cheaper I’d advocate for more housing in and around your area, including Oxford, not less.
