Went shopping for some last-minute, inexpensive (lol) items for my daughter's Xmas stocking and it was crazy busy as expected but also people weren't rude or pushy, just seemed collectively disconnected. So I guess maybe I'm not the only going through the motions right now.

One of life's biggest disappointments is learning how little this country cares about its people.

If someone could find the cure to waking up in the wee hours of the morning and not being able to fall back asleep until 10 minutes before the alarm goes off that'd be great.

Got some routine maintenance on my car this weekend and was offered a "financing deal" with my debit card of 3 monthly, no-interest payments to cover the cost of new brakes, tire rotation and an oil change. The total cost was almost $600 so while I appreciate this as an option, it's bleak y'all.

The world's on fire because a handful of white, fragile men aren't used to hearing the word no.

I'm going to continue to believe that a majority of us don't want ANY of this.

The real scam was convincing a segment of the population that equality, fair wages, the wealthy paying taxes, access to healthcare, education, housing and food (i.e. basic needs) and now with this current administration, actual DEMOCRACY, is wait for it....just bad.

Life doesn't have to be like this and if enough people wake up to the reality of how we're being pitted against each other by a small percentage of greedy folks, we can do better for ourselves and our children.

The fact that he was their best Trojan horse candidate to implement their awful agenda tells you how weak sauce their "movement" is. And their Manchurian candidate is equally cringe worthy.

The fact that major retailers have moved their Black Friday sales to several days before the planned boycott tells you how much power we as consumers actually have.

There has always been corruption in politics. Now it's just straight up in our faces daily with little to no pushback from what we've always been told were the checks and balances the country was founded on.

50 year mortgages be like:

You load sixteen tons, what do you get?
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter, don't you call me, 'cause I can't go
I owe my soul to the company store

The people showed up last week in local elections. Communities are banding together to help feed their neighbors. Senate Democrats need to hold the line. How many times are you going to pretend there's any chance Republicans will do anything that resembles the thing that's best for all Americans?
