hard to pinpoint one site but persepolis was certianly at the top of the list! in the end we drove over 1400 miles and were led by an archaeologist out of oregon and an iranian guide with 20 years of experience with very good english— i feel pretty lucky and yes , the persian history is amazing!

it was amazing. iran in general was too. we were the only americans during a three week tour. the iranians were very welcoming!
