Output of social/cost rental & affordable purchase shouldn't be a stumbling block for Left in coalition negotiations, the real sticking points will be Help to Buy & rental regulation, especially security for renters #GE24 #Election24

I don't normally stick my neck out and make predictions, but here are some suggestions on how PRS policy might develop under two different post-election scenarios. Whatever happens I think we will see a move to reference rents and limited movement on security of tenure #GE24

Today I'm writing about Labour's pre-election housing manifesto. Contains some great ideas, like a a new savings fund for housing finance, and some terrible ideas, like linking cost rents to incomes and introduction a 'right to buy' for cost rental

Very pleased to have a chapter on Ireland in this, but also looking forward to reading all the other chapters. This book will be very useful for people trying to get around how PRS and PRS policy is changing internationally @ronanlyons.bsky.social @sanvanlan.bsky.social
