its levels are not bad per se but there’s not very many of them and to get collectible stuff you have to play each twice (once backward). there’s also VERY little music, when the music was a highlight of WW.

like the bones of something good are there it’s just rly underdone

i do think it’s fun that they’ve continued to put yoshi’s solo games in that ‘arts-and-crafts’ space, though. it’s one of those unpredictable swerves that still feels Correct, somehow. like you can trace it all forward from yoshi’s island but it’s always tweaked JUST enough to surprise

and crafted world was VISUALLY a fairly fun expansion even if not as cozy and like luxurious-feeling as the “all-fabric” conceit. but the gameplay…
