You are destroying the lives of civil servants while you pick this fight.

Because according to Steve Rattner’s presentation, letting credits expire will have a greater impact on Red states. Those voters will never change their vote even if the Dems save them all this money now. Sadly, it seems like they need to feel the pain. Dems can use it to win the midterms.

End the shutdown. Win back control in the midterms and make changes then. Let them expire and use it to campaign on for the next election cycle.
