Last night during my visit to Number 11 Downing Street, I pushed for a decision in the upcoming Budget with an immediate transfer. Further delay would be unacceptable to those who gave so much to our coalfield communities.

I will keep fighting until justice is secured for BCSSS members.

The government acted on the Mineworkers Pension Scheme last year - BCSSS members deserve the same fairness. More than 2,000 members pass away every year, they cannot wait any longer.

Over 40,000 former coal staff rely on this scheme, including 1,136 people in Sherwood Forest, many of whom I have met.

We had an important and insightful discussion on the realities and impact of perinatal trauma, and how we can ensure women and families receive the care and support they deserve.

From Robin Hood legends to rewilding, from local arts to community partnerships, today’s Moot showed just how much Sherwood has to offer.
