Queer activist. Founder & President of QueerLit Collective, on a mission to put in queer libraries around the US.

But really, just a person who likes doing the work, occasionally fueled by anger.
If you truly support the queer community, seek out queer-owned businesses or individuals offering the things or services you need. Queer-friendly isn't enough - put money into the queer economy itself. Write reviews and recommend people who have done good work for you.

The 1994 film Priest was difficult to watch, for many reasons. But the hardest was the complete and public destruction of a man caught making out with another man in a car.

Perhaps I never stayed at home for long periods of time because it never felt like home - or that any place felt like I belonged. Even now, with a mortgage, it feels a breath away from being taken yet I belong here more fully than anywhere else.

The same goes for people.

"By keeping the topic of gay sexuality a private, bedroom matter, liberals also did not have to confront the reality of gay sexuality, something that still made them uncomfortable." - from Mayor of Castro Street.

It's the old "We don't care what you do in the bedroom as long as it stays there."

At minimum, @queerlit.bsky.social and OKEQ library books need a minimum of 3 touches to be processed and shelved. The average is likely closer to 4 touches. Tonight, we did at least 375 touches with 11.5 hours between all our volunteers. Time-consuming, but oh so worth it.

Take a peek at our latest queer library! We've set up a location at Youth Services of Tulsa, and we are excited at how many young people will be able to check out affirming literature - literature quickly disappearing from public libraries and schools.

You know your sleep schedule is off when the adaptive charge on your phone says it'll be fully charged at 3am, not 6:30am.

"I was naked before God and he raped me," is perhaps one of the most memorable things I've read in a book - partly because it is horrifying and partly because deep down, it resonates. "Religious trauma" is a clinical term that glosses over a very real experience.

Sometimes you have to destress so you play with plants.

Exciting news coming on Monday!

Hosted a board meeting for the first time at my new house! It was everything I needed as a person, a board president, and a volunteer.

Community matters.
