Last year I took cuttings from the #monstera my parents received as a housewarming gift in 1971. (The parent plant and my parents are still going strong.)

This gives me hope in the midst of a pretty hopeless time.

A fellow teacher, and friend from Uni days, and I describe certain works of fiction as d-a-m-n books. The criteria for this is mainly that they must engage us to the point where bedtime is nonexistent and we must have a book hangover afterward. 1/2
