I keep thinking about what seemed to be all the progress we made on women's rights in the US since I was a girl in the 70s, yet in the past decade all of the progress seems to have eroded.

Years ago, I assigned my college freshmen to choose an advertisement to analyze. They brought their ads to class, and presented them to me and their classmates. One was It for Dolce & Gabbana, and it depicted what the class and I perceived to be a gang rape scene. I'm still appalled by it.

Yes. The eyes, too, fascinated me as a child. I remember drawing pictures of the eyes and their various parts when I was in elementary school. Now, that I'm old, I wonder what colors and shapes am I not seeing clearly. 😭
