How my dog tells me he needs more water

Got a peek at Sully, a baby gorilla born in July, and his mom, Asha, at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs a couple weeks ago.

On Day 3, I slowly become aware of the fact that there are only 2 people living in this house, and 1 of them has the palate of a 6 yr old who only eats the grape-flavored jelly.

Do people throw jelly parties?

This time of year, my backyard is a love shack for all the mule deer. There are randy bucks who sometimes fight, exhausted does, and barking dogs behind flimsy fences— completely unaware of the damage a lustful buck can cause.

Morning visitors 🦌 🐿️

Yesterday, a young buck wanted to sample my hydrangeas on the porch. I gently shooed him away after taking a photo through the glass.

This morning, a black morph of a fox squirrel sampled a pumpkin.

Didn’t realize I was running a breakfast café.

Love that my county and others in Colorado have sticker art designed by local students.

Just finished this incredible YA novel by @runwithskizzers.bsky.social - purchased it last year and held it in the TBR stack for a while. Sometimes, the right time to read a book just happens without planning it.

There are two rather large bucks wandering in between our yard and the neighbor’s, while another neighbor’s dogs are losing their minds.

The bucks are just doing their thing. 🦌 ♥️

I have almost the same “injury” from moving school furniture around.
