Billions in public $$ have gone to protect houses of worship and religious schools since 9/11. Much of it went to more-threatened religious minorities.

This week’s attack on a Minneapolis church could be a “wake up” for Catholics on security $$.

What a completely different era this is for Christianity and politics in America. Even in the overtly anti-Catholic periods of US history, it's impossible to picture a US president doing something akin to this.

What do you think he's saying here? How will it be taken?

Group of Ohio Haitians I’m watching inauguration with are confused and stressed watching EO’s about the border. They have family and friends who have waited a year in Mexico. People have proper paperwork but now don’t know what Trump-Vance will honor. Lotta worry

To the degree inaugurals are symbolic, the faith-leader line up for Monday, vs 2017, is pretty different. Last time there were multiple figures from the charismatic and independent (non-affiliated) Christian world. This is a more traditional line up. 1/2

Feeling unusually sentimental that Hannukah is over tonight. Appreciating these lights and all they represent. Happy holidays and prayers for 2025 all.
