I wasn’t a big content creator- tried a bit during the pandemic when I had more time, but I always thought about trying more someday.

I discovered artists I never would have found otherwise, I found my next book to read, I got choreography ideas, I learned more classroom tips than any PD

A typical scroll for me would be: animals, comedy, music, dance, books, sports, local, Cole guard, inspirational, therapy, teaching, tech tips, and the random viral dance.

I miss the algorithm and how it mostly showed me new content based on what I watched and who I followed. I’m not seeing something out there that’s as good as TT at that. Yes I can search but it was the “window shopping” of content I enjoyed most. And it was as eclectic as I am.

Will I live without Tik Tok? yes of course— I’m from the generation that sat with my finger ready to press the record button when the DJ would stop talking over the intro to the song 🎵
