I have also noticed that about half of them are broken or so wobbly that you can't safely lock to them. Useless as you say!

Yes, definitely the case! Overall a very unsafe feeling to walk on Marlee, let alone cycling in the very narrow 'bike lane', which I have also done. The intersections are dangerous & then there are all the vehicles playing frogger as they try to cut across Marlee east-west. Very risky streetscape.

Yes! And good to learn about the urban nature initiative! I've been planting serviceberries in my yard, and see lots of potential for our neighborhoods to get more wild!

That's a great article! Very satisfying to see the results of the rigour that Toronto applied to testing the bike lanes being used in other cities.

Very unfortunate that the province doesn't take that same approach.

One of these is being removed at Oakwood and Vaughan. Interestingly, it doesn't get a lot of use, but it is a constant risk because when it does see use, it is by speeding drivers.
