Just watched the trailer and was undecided. Looked like it could go either way. Sounds like it did both!

I’ve replaced bowls and paddles and blades, but the machines themselves, with minor maintenance, have lasted literally decades with significant regular use.

I think you are on to something with kitchen items. In addition to Le Creuset, I would add KitchenAid mixer (not necessarily their major appliances) and Cuisinart food processor. Definitely worth the investment.
