Have to shout about this nonfiction book that publishes May 27 - not only did I learn a lot about how sand moves across our world and affects it, but the illustrations 😍🔥 @rhcbschoollibrary.bsky.social

This is a must add to your classroom library! I love that our main character takes control of her own narrative, stopping the stories about her clothing so she can say her truth. Important representation of disability in kidlit! @kdmaz.bsky.social @ssedlib.bsky.social

If you have little readers, this is a must have! A decodable text about fairies - never underestimate the power of being able to read the story they hold in their hands!! @ssedlib.bsky.social

We had an amazing author visit with creator Alex Willan last week. The students were so excited to meet Gilbert and see who the next magical creature he was meeting (its mermaids!). The kids also loved learning how to draw Gilbert. TY Alex for the visit! #authorvisit #edusky @ssedlib.bsky.social

Adding this middle grade GN to my collection immediately. The dog love, the skateboarding, not feeling like you fit in… this is going to resonate with a lot of readers! #edusky #booksky #kidsbooks

Just discovered this new chapter book series. Family goes to a place where a natural disaster has occurred to lend their help to humans and animals. Readers also learn about the natural disaster along the way. Perfect for 2nd-4th gr readers who are starting #chapterbooks

What my second graders are reading (and again, just the book jackets since the readers have the books)! These are all books I’ve used as read alouds. Remember, when you share the book, they will want to read it! #picturebooks #edusky #kidsbooks #secondgrade #booksky

What our third graders are reading… always note what kids are reading. And keep giving them more (please note, many of these are only the book jackets bc the kids have the actual books) #kidlit #thirdgrade #edusky #kidsbooks

Borrowed the idea from @hansonhallway.bsky.social and my 3rd and 4th reading intervention students thought about their “Readolutions” for the year. I was so impressed with the way they thought intentionally about their goals and what to work on concerning reading. #studentgoals #readinggoals

Going to try and post more of my reading here - from kids to adult books! Here’s a YA book I just finished. It’s the second in a duology. Takes place in Egypt!

I finished this middle grade novel last week and I haven’t stopped thinking about it. I laughed. I cried - sometimes on the same page. These characters will be with me for a long long time.

Winter Break reading has started and @penguinschoollib.bsky.social made sure to add to my book stack! I can’t wait to read, thank you!

Love this book about scientists and all the things they did as kids - create, explore, take apart - to inspire young scientists today! I think this would be perfect to use at the beg of the year to make a list of all the things scientists do in everyday life! @katemessner.bsky.social

Definitely for readers of the Bad Guys… especially if they aren’t looking for a character arc. Because these bunnies definitely stay bad! Not to use when discussing apologies or changing one’s behavior. But kids will laugh and want to read more!

‘Tis the season! That’s #mockcaldecott season! Our 2nd-4th graders are getting ready to read and analyze and enjoy these 11 books!
