Families shouldn’t be pushed into poverty because they needed healthcare. I’m fighting to end wage garnishment for medical debt because Ohioans deserve stability while they’re healing - not financial ruin.

Thanks to all who went to bat for Toledo kids by speaking in support of this bipartisan effort to create a Mud Hens license plate benefiting the team’s youth programs. The bill passed committee unanimously today. Next stop: the House floor!

Kids shouldn’t be a business model. Too often, child influencers and performers see their work monetized without ever seeing the earnings. That’s why Rep. Lauren McNally and I introduced two bills to change that: the Child Performer Protection Act and the Kid Influencer Protection Act.

HB 148 is a bipartisan bill that gives Ohioans the choice to donate a portion of their state tax refund to the Ohio Pet Fund, helping expand spay and neuter programs at shelters and humane societies across our state. The bill unanimously passed committee today and is one step closer to becoming law.

Loved visiting our Sanger Branch Library on Friday! Every corner of our Toledo Lucas County Public Library system is full of people learning, connecting, and building community. Our libraries do incredible work and I’ll always be a partner fighting for them in Columbus.
