Some seem to believe that the monarchy is somehow useful. It can be in extreme cases I suppose, but like most Canadians I would prefer to abolish it in Canada.

What is fascinating about this is that the bridge runs in both directions and will be very useful for US exports. We are one of their best clients, if not their best. He is putting the private interests of his supporter who stated this nonsense ahead of the public interests in his own country…

C’est fascinant de voir que des partis politiques comme la CAQ qui se disent pro régions ignorent en toute impunité des enjeux régionaux comme celui-là. Ça prend toujours une éternité avant que l’électorat régional ne les sanctionne.

Smith is obviously not the best example of the usefulness of more consultation, nor is Legault in my own province. Then again, consulting does not mean that you are bound to follow suggestions… the only real downside is that it would make the process even longer, and it already takes too long.
