Progress on the baby sweater. All that’s left is sleeves and neck ribbing. Fun pattern to work and I learned a lot. The stacked stag horn baby sweater on Ravelry knitted in Malibrigo Rios Ivy. I’m very excited to gift this one. #knitting #knitsky #knittersofBlueSky

I’m making a baby sweater for my son’s teacher and it’s my first time knitting bottom up. I love knitting cables. It’s such a payoff for a small amount of effort. 🧶 #knitting #knitsky #knittersofBlueSky

Nearly done with the body and looking forward to starting the sleeves. I love the way the red came out. #knitting #knitsky #knittersofBlueSky

The Dinosaur sweater is being put on hold for a while. My son’s teacher is pregnant and I’m casting on a project for her baby gift. It’s my favorite baby knit and I give it to most friends who are expecting. #tookishbritches #knitting #knitsky #knittersofBlueSky

Dinos are coming along well now. I’m loving how this sweater is turning out. #knitting #knitsky #knittersofBlueSky

I was able to get a few more rows of color work today. Little dinosaur heads starting to peek out. #knitting #knitsky #knittersofBlueSky

When was the last time I knitted with straight needles? I literally can’t remember. New scarf for the kiddo. I use fingering weight so often that I’d forgotten what a quick knit bulky can be. #knitting #knitsky #knittersofBlueSky

The red is much better. Sometimes you have to just rip it out. #frogging #knitters #knitsky #knittersofBlueSky

I’m cleaning out my room and just hit the yarn mother load. An entire bag full of Knitted Wit, Spun Right Round, Malibrigo (enough for two kids sweaters) and Arrowhead Fibers. I don’t *need* to buy yarn for a while…though I’m sure I will. #knitting #knitsky #knittersofBlueSky

Currently tinking back three rows to replace the green with primary red. It will contrast much better, and the end result will be great, but this part sucks. #knitting #knitsky#knittersofBlueSky

Knitting on a sock. Listening to Kendrick Lamar To Pimp a Butterfly and Beastie Boys Paul’s Boutique. Drinking sparkling rosé Prosecco. I spent way too much time on the news today and my anxiety level was critical. This is helping. #knitting #knitsky #knittersofBlueSky

The colors don’t pop enough for the design to show. Ugh. I guess I need to rip it out and buy a new contrast color. 🙁 #knitsky #knitting #knittersofBlueSky

My gorgeous vintage Yosemite glasses are the go to for cocktails. Tonight it’s Pendleton Canadian Style whiskey out of Hood River, OR. I’m boycotting red state liquor in solidarity with Canada. Goodbye, Bourbon. Soundtrack is Depeche Mode Violator. It’s a mood. #whiskey

It’s too dark in my house for color work right now. Instead I found the brightest colorway from my stash and cast on a pair of socks. They’re my favorite knit and working them is such a comfort to me. The toe beginning to emerge. What’s your preferred method for socks? DPNS? Or magic loop? 1/2

Caking yarn, love it or hate it? I kind of love it. Except when it’s tangled. Then it’s all hate. #knitsky #knitting #knittersofBlueSky

Getting ready for color work on the Dinorawr Pullover by Melissa K Designs. Main color is Reaper’s Rags with a contrasting of Envy, both by one of my favorites Spun Right Round. Excited for the contrast and hoping the color pops enough in this design. #knitsky #knitting #knittersofBlueSky

A better view of the color and texture.

My son requested a scarf made from “dinosaur skin yarn” (Malibrigo Caracol in Indiecita). I can’t remember the last time I used straight or wood needles. Crazy how it changes the sound and rhythm of the stitches.Tomato soup on the stove. Elliot Smith playing. Finding moments in this chaos. #knitting

Working on a sweater for my son. Just separated the sleeves today. Dinosaur color work at the bottom incoming. I’ll share my progress. #knitsky #knitting #knittersofBluesky
