I sometimes move things from Word into Scrivener to do major dev edit structural work! Then it goes back into Word for cleanup.

Any rule about how you are "supposed to" read anything is a lie! An exclusionary and often ableist one! Read it once or a million times. Skim it or spend hours on every page. Visual or audio. Read however brings you pleasure, however works best for the meeting of the book and your brain.

Thematically! I think about which books are in conversation with each other (not necessarily explicitly, in my own thinking), and group these together. Because the conversations are overlapping, most of the time the flow from one convo to another is clear. I can always find what I'm looking for.

Hiii, I'm not actively publishing in this realm right now ("independent scholar" = slow scholar by default) but would certainly count myself in this group. Plus I work as editor for many scholars under this umbrella now!
