The interactions between laser-coolable molecules in excited electronic states were investigated for the first time, with implications for collisional losses among spin-polarized molecules.

The coupling between electronic spin and mechanical rotation in ultracold KRb-Rb collisions was probed experimentally and rationalized theoretically. We found and explained exceptionally large spin-roration coupling!

We contributed electronic structure calculations to the experimental-theoretical collaboration led by Prof. Kang-Kuen Ni and her group at Harvard University with quantum scattering calculations by Prof. Timur Tscherbul from the University of Nevada and Prof. John Bohn from JILA.

In the theoretical-experimental collaboration between @UniWarszawski and @WeizmannScience, we show that magnetically tunable Feshbach resonances in Sr⁺ + Rb collisions survive far above the ultracold regime—defying the idea that quantum phenomena vanish at higher temperatures.
