i think vientos is gone. mendy criticized his inability to field routine ground balls. he never done that before. same with senga. i think he’s gone too . cohen will let pete test the market and come back to cohen with his best offer. cohen will be the one to decide if the mets will match it.

similar just misses also in 1984, 1985, 1987, 1989, 1990, 1997, and 1998. yet i always come back for more. the highs are very high, but few and far between. the lows are much more common.

the season ends in disappointment. i’m much older now, and the pain of seasons ending like this one did doesn’t hurt as much. before you know it, the 2026 season will be here. lots of changes coming between now and then. hopefully next year will end b with a WS victory.
