Strange thing about that war, important as it was, is that people are very vague about the details. I've often biked around on 2 lane roads (esp in NE) and seen signs and monuments for revolutionary events and people that seem not just forgotten, but completely implausible

this year like most years I rode in the national ride of silence, honoring cyclists killed by cars. Like most years, this was covered in local news and the comments were filled with incensed “average” citizens complaining about cyclists “who don’t pay taxes” riding on public roads
