Information domains are going to become like collecting antiquities: fakes and frauds are widespread, but only deep domain knowledge will enable people to identify fakes. In some areas acceptance of fakes is so widespread domain knowledge has become warped.

He blocked me on Twitter, like a bunch of other PRC foreign influencers. I sometimes feel sorry for those guys. What do they think will happen to them when China is done with them?

It's three reasons that are entirely rational and oft-discussed. The problem is that nations go to war when they want to, not for rational reasons, and they pretend to themselves all will be ok.

Haha. UN 2758 gives the seat for China to PRC, as it should be. It says nothing about the status of Taiwan (UN can't create sovereignty).

As a lefty, perhaps take a moment and ask yourself why you support PRC imperialism. Do the people of Taiwan want to be annexed and occupied?

I recommend Ghost Nation by Chris Horton or Harrison and Chou's Revolutionary Taiwan.

Talk less? difficult for a man in my position; I write two a columns on Taiwan each week for the local paper of record in Taiwan, the Taipei Times. Here is a recent column:

Int'l law says that Taiwan's status is unresolved, also US, UK, Can, Jpn policy. UN not relevant as it cannot determine sovereignty. ROC gov't imposed at gunpoint and maintained because PRC threatens to kill Taiwanese. No nation recognizes "Taiwan" as a sovereign state, roughly 100 follow int' law.

This person has absolutely no idea what he is talking about. The name of the gov't that administrates Taiwan is "Republic of China". Taiwan, of course, calls itself "Taiwan". Taiwan is not a place the US invented. Other peoples have agency, and googling won't teach you much. Try reading instead.
