Can songs resonate differently in different spaces? Sure. This is more an indictment of the culture the music has contributed toward (and enabled). I have been blessed personally by a lot of this music but assessing its net impact has gotten increasingly complex for me.

That discussion might occur on another day, but for now, my heart and prayers go out to his loved ones. Can’t imagine their horror and grief. Sobering.

At this critical moment in time - when Christ’s cross has been so blatantly and painfully distorted - examine how your church will respond this weekend. Then, go deeper and search your heart. How will you respond?
