The trouble comes when the specifics come to be drawn up there is almost inevitably an escalation in what is deemed essential.

Keep all the statutory assessments, encourage more use of KS1 tests, and add GPS to the accountability framework.
Oh... And try to improve the Teacher Assessment Frameworks in some vague terms.

Add climate change
Consider new content for science
and several mentions of greatest specificity in other subjects... But somehow not increasing content.

I like the clear identification of significant or not data... but then I'm not sure I trust inspectors to understand it.
And it's starting to look a bit PANDA-y again, with too many boxes with colours that make it easy to gloss over content and focus on that.

The difficulty is, it's increasingly common to find schools employing only NQTs - ostensibly to "grow their own", but often as a financial help for the school. The internal market for teachers is very difficult, yet it helps no-one to be that way

It always frustrates me that it's so hard to gather middle school data on this. I think you'd see a notable difference
