Working at home allows me to wear my mouthguard all day, which is great, but I need a new one every 3 months at least.

Lol yeah the recommendation is basically: Canada is America's slave, we must protect and deregulate their auto slop.
Stellantis doesn't have an EV problem. They have a mediocrity problem.

Don was billed as a "provoking thought leader" and presented at my organization's board meeting this year. All we got was 10 yr old low-level Facebook slop about how we can't fix housing, must pump up LNG, and need to abandon renewables/EVs/heat pumps. Alarmingly uninformed and dodged all questions.

I think the hyperbole about Eby being a threat to confederation betrays Kenney's real motive. He's pandering to the separatist base.
Since most Albertans don't want to separate, he's signalling that they can still talk about it but framing BC as the instigator.
While keeping oil in the spotlight.

They also encourage it with relentless advertising and the near refusal to make anything other than a truck or SUV. It's like a small-dick-energy feedback loop.

Yeah it's wild. My dad has a 93 Dodge Ram 2500 farm truck and it looks small compared to new pickups.

I have access to a new F-150 at work (crew cab, short box) but most of the time my 2003 Honda Element is more useful because the rear seats fold away or easily unclip, making for a 6 foot covered cargo area.

The same American auto makers who cannot sell sedans, hatchbacks, wagons or minivans also cannot sell EVs in North America, even if they sell them in other markets. Who would have guessed? But they certainly have money to run truck ads.

Wow. A whopping $3 billion across Ford, GM and Stellantis? GM alone had over $14 billion in record profits last year.

It seems like much of the media and commentary conflates EV policy with NA automakers' struggles. Lets not pretend that they are going to thrive with or without an EV Availability Standard.

I expect a raid against Volkswagen, with sanctions and tariffs against both to follow. Fortifying the American automotive hermit kingdom.

That's why I mostly use On the Run stations in B.C. They have squeegees and recycling bins at the chargers, plus the convenience stores. I use the app because I like to review my charging info and get free coffees, but you can use a credit card. The newer installations have covered parking.
