I'm still inclined to think the Fermi paradox is a case of "all of the above." There needn't be one simple factor involved. The Drake equation is factorial after all. Must admit, do kind of like this one for what optimism it might be towards our own eventual path...

TBH Not sure if berms the correct term - I think English Heritage just describe it as "earthworks" Ketchup bottle henges? 😂

I sort of had the impression the "henge" part of it was to do with the earthen berm, having had a quick Google it would appear I may need to reappraise my definition of a henge. Won't tell the gnomes though, they get a bit grumpy... www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/inspir....

Nope. Figured if stonehenge can get away without having the actual henge then the gnomes could get away without one too! Plus shifting all those stones (see background) pretty much did my back in BT the time of gnomehenges conception!
