Easy pickings for an MLM, come try me
Not “internet inventor”, he invented the World Wide Web. It’s a different thing. The internet already existed.

It’s endlessly frustrating to watch people complain about this like it’s a mistake. It’s as if our idea of what makes a story “good” is one that’s easy to write a video essay about. Some shows, it’s just easier to dust off the old “[Thing] Is Garbage, Actually” format.

I prefer the term “servile homunculus”.

“deposed” implies that he wasn’t leader at the time of his kidnapping (sorry, “seizure”). The U.S. just kidnapped the Venezuelan head of state.

Maybe now we can trick governments into funding mental health programs as an issue of national security.

If you could re-do an episode, which one would it be?

What even is the point of being right if it doesn’t give me license to be a jerk?

No doubt, Shatner is a much better actor. But Tim Allen was the exact right person to capture that specific quality.

Few other people could capture that Shatneresque vanity.

I feel like within a year or two Mr Beast is going to be just buying organs from people and we’ll all be saying “eh, he paid for a nice hospital stay, that’s more than my insurance would cover”.

This the same Josh Frydenberg that voted for and spoke out in support of watering down the Racial Discrimination Act in 2017? That Josh Frydenberg? Surely he wouldn’t want laws far more draconian than anything enabled by 18C, there must be some mistake. This must be a different cynical opportunist.

The media needs to start asking proponents of these laws *how* they would have prevented this attack? The attackers weren’t student demonstrators or people who got their opinions from mainstream media. The much more evident failure was letting these people have guns. ASIO already knew about them.

Hey @rianjohnson.bsky.social are there some Lord Of The Rings references lurking in Wake Up Dead Man? What’s with that?
December 9, 2025 at 6:42 PM
If this was the 2010s, there’d be an extra paragraph about how using the words “video game” is violence.

It was already full of slop, it was just regular SEO slop.

This is almost perfectly phrased to drive a certain kind of person, the kind of person who hates modern art, to apoplectic rage.

“Burn it!”
Don’t remember anything else about that episode. I just remember Cancer Man saying “burn it” into a radio and it was so fucking cool. Also at one point he tries to write a spy novel like he’s E. Howard Hunt or something. Might have been in the same episode, I couldn’t tell you.

1) Without any detail on the methodology, this report is just an expensive opinion piece. 2) Maybe if they had other significant economic positions worth talking about, people wouldn’t just associate them with a handful of social issues?

Is this still the deal where TikTok America would be essentially a new app and all the old users would have to switch to the new app? That seems like an opportunity to lose a lot of users.
