If you are going to go to permanent Standard Time, go to permanent Standard Time plus 30 minutes. It's almost like standard time in the winter and daylight savings time in the summer. Benefits of both without having to change the clocks twice a year.

Think about this. The only reason he left office in 2021 after his mob insurrection failed was because if he ordered a military coup they would have refused and he’d have been tried for treason.
Now he has a military willing to do this. Would they refuse an order to takeover if he loses in 2028?

I propose we go to Standard Time plus half an hour and make it permanent. Nearly as good as Standard Time in winter and nearly as good as Daylight Savings Time in summer. No clock changing.

Having been both an E-5 in the Navy and a Navy Captain, I agree that the captain should have returned the salute and salutation. That said, you have no idea what he was going through at the time. You should have let it go, and I respect you less for not doing so. You were disrespectful.
