This isn't a deal - it's a total surrender. My statement on the shutdown deal.

After two years of devastating violence, this is the biggest step towards peace and reconciliation we’ve seen. End the bloodshed and bring them home.

it’s a love story

NJ is at its best when we show up for each other — and that’s exactly what I saw here.

🗳 Somerset County Dems, engaging our neighbors to elect Democrats up and down the ballot — from @mikiesherrill.bsky.social to LD23 Dems Guy Citron & Ty Powell, to county leaders Liz Graner, Melonie Marano, Tina Jalloh, Darrin Russo, to every council race like Hodges & Tompkins, and so many more.

💻 The amazing high schoolers from APeers, who help small businesses and nonprofits boost their digital presence — so good they signed up a new customer on the spot! (MSHVFAS where my dad has served for 30+ years)

Met some incredible ones, like:
🐾 Lorraine, owner of Love Your Pet LLC, who went from asking if there was a better way to care for pets to pioneering an industry, winning a Congressional Award, and being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Spare us the bullshit.

Your votes to slash Medicaid show us what you really think.

Yesterday, @andykimnj.bsky.social held a town hall in Westfield to do what Tom Kean Jr fails to do: show up for NJ-07.

Sen. Kim reminded us that the opposite of democracy is apathy — and seeing 500+ people turn out strengthened my belief that we will flip NJ-07 next year if we continue to show up.

I’m grateful to be in this fight with folks all across NJ-07 who are ready to decide — and to act.

PS thanks to Chapter III for the wardrobe change after jumping into the river. I was told I looked like I should be on a boat in France, which I’m going to choose to take as a compliment.

Thank you to Lambertville Indivisible group for a great event honoring John Lewis. Shoutout to organizer Cindi Sternfeld for her call to action:

“Hope will only take us so far. It is better to decide. I don’t want you to sit home and hope — I want you to go out and decide what comes next.”

Big thanks to Mount Olive Dems + Chair Andy Meissner for hosting me! We talked about making NJ affordable, how we win in November, & how we finish the job in ’26. With Morris Dems & Chair Darcy Draeger, we’re just getting started. Special thx to Jason Blazakis for sharing his latest research w/ us.

Remy just finished reading the Republican megabill.

He’s now questioning the state of American democracy and whether he should run for office.

America is the greatest country in the world. Happy 4th of July to everyone. Had a blast in New Providence last night with Harry Clewell!

You can protest. You can vote. But violence has no place in our country. See my full statement above.

This week has been marked by hatred & fear, but I’m ending it feeling hopeful & energized by folks coming together to fight for a future our kids deserve. It’s time to continue showing up for each other, our communities, and our values.

(And shoutout to my mom for showing up for her grandkids too)

Just saw @mikiesherrill.bsky.social—our next Governor. When she was elected in 2018, she stood up to Trump and fought for small businesses, families, and communities. Now she’s ready to keep fighting for a better New Jersey. Proud to support her.
June 11, 2025 at 2:41 AM
Today is voting day-one of my favorite days. We don’t just choose nominees, we uphold the strength of democracy, show why we are the world’s greatest nation, and choose the values our kids will grow up in.

I was so excited this morning, I ran through the rain to cast my vote.

DNC Chair Ken Martin showed up in Somerset County this weekend w/ a simple message - the path to winning back the House runs right through this campaign.

Ken reminded us that our job doesn’t stop w/ electing Dems - we have to elect strong leaders who know how to deliver for their constituents.

I was grateful to spend Memorial Day w/ the Bernards Township Democratic Committee on Monday. We honored New Jersey families who’ve lost loved ones in service to our country. Their sacrifice calls us to keep striving for a more perfect union - one worthy of their courage, and their love of America.

Had a great night in Neshanic Station w/ the Somerset County Dems! It was great to hear from union leaders, engineers, environmental consultants, and firefighters who are moving Somerset forward.

Always grateful to be working w/ incredible leaders, especially chair Peg Schaffer.

70,000 of Tom Kean’s constituents in NJ-07 rely on Medicaid.

But instead of standing up for them, Kean just sold them out for Trump’s endorsement. Now, Overlook Medical Center in Summit is projected to lose $3M in federal funding.

We deserve better.
