That's the thing. I never objected to paying for SW. I just don't like subscription models. I have spent thousands of EUR on SW and I even give regularly to projects I enjoy. Wezterm, KiCAD, fonts, just to name a few. And I am not sorry.

Anyhow, would the rc-zip crate allow me to set a toc entry to "dos" even when running on linux? Python does not support writing ZIP files, so I had to spawn "zip" and that always sets the entry's OS flag to the OS it is running on. So messy, I am considering writing the whole program again in Rust.

Hi Amos, great video, will have to watch it at least 8 times until I get all the details... I was intrigued, because I recently faced a lot of problems dealing with Win Zip Files in Python on Linux. I wrote a small article about that here: michaelrommel.com/create/2022-...
