More than 5,000 trips were logged at the northern end of the Link Trail from Friday to Sunday, a Notre Dame football weekend. Saturday alone saw nearly 3,000 trips.
With students having returned to Notre Dame, the northern end of South Bend's Link Trail is currently seeing 700-1,000 trips daily on weekdays. Those trips are almost equally divided between people on foot and on bicycle.
