I am here for this. Although at this point I feel like the Spurs will either take a draft and stash with that pick or trade it for future picks.

We can say it, the Spurs are the best team in the NBA. It’s only a matter of time before their record reflects that.

Start triple-towers

Yes, they match up well against the defending champs. But also, the Spurs didn’t play with a full roster until Dec 13 (first game vs OKC). It appears they are simply the best team in the league now.

Wemby follows it up by coming off the bench to help his Spurs beat the juggernaut Thunder for the third time in 13 days.

Wemby gifting lumps of coal for Thunder today.

Only a matter of time before the Spurs catch the Thunder.

Something about this opponent brings out the best in our local cagers.

Which teams have beat Den, Hou and OKC this season?

Seems like the AJ Dybantsa sweepstakes have begun.

Wemby got some tragic news before the game. We’ll see what happens in the rematch on New Year’s Eve.

Good on ya, Nuggets coach. We are finally about to find out how good the Spurs can be with a fully healthy roster.

Five minutes, five points, five rebounds, +20

He’s right, beautiful basketball is back.
December 14, 2025 at 12:58 AM
Understandable with the travel and short turnaround, but I feel like the Spurs could lean heavily on bench guys who don’t get a lot of minutes, and still make it competitive.

What DG said to Wemby right before, makes that dunk even more incredible.

Of course I had to watch that play a dozen times this morning. It doesn’t look like Sochan was going in there to play peacemaker. Harrison Barnes then immediately pulls Sochan away from the scrum.

They’ve had a good run. And 2 nice early season wins that required heroics from their 37, soon to be 38 year old star. But if I was a betting man I would put my money on father time and this young Spurs team.

I don’t see 37 year old Curry keeping up this pace for the whole season. He’ll be 38 when the playoffs roll around.
November 15, 2025 at 1:14 PM
He pushed himself so hard that he retired at the peak of his prime for nearly two whole seasons. That kinda counts as self-imposed, de facto load management. He only had one speed, all-out. And he was so competitive that he never wanted to miss a game. But physically that takes a heavy toll.

A few years ago I was gifted Basketball and Other Things twice by two separate relatives who know I dig your writing. I will purchase EB on Dec. 26 if I don’t receive it by then.
