No, there is not. Genuinely confused why you’d lie about this when the tweet is still up and it’s easily verifiable.

Lol no I didn’t.

Speaking of Hanania and the abundance bros, here’s their associate Matt Yglesias triumphantly returning to this thread by saying Dems need to ally with an unreconstructed Nazi if they want to win. Sort of hits different after learning one of his major influences is himself a white supremacist, huh?

Since the election, I’ve been keeping a thread of influential centrists breaking rightward. Yglesias and his ilk are here several times implying that Dems should stop shunning people who explain crime with race science so it shouldn’t be a surprise that David Shor is a closet white supremacist.

So two of left academia’s biggest objectors to calling Trumpism fascist have now apparently flipped in anno domini 2025, a year after it’s too late to do any work to stop it from arriving. I’m all for changing your mind, but you’d think a vaguely contrite account of the flip might be warranted.

Somebody please tell me to think of my career

I’ll have some words to say at a rally this Friday, as Washington University Graduate Workers Union is hosting the local instances of Stand Up for Science’s national day of action to protest the Trump research funding cuts.

If only we had realized sooner that you can’t govern like it’s the 1970s!
December 30, 2024 at 9:16 PM
Damn it’s really too bad that no one could possibly see until last month that Joe Biden and many senior Democrats like him are stuck in a bygone era of governance.
December 30, 2024 at 9:14 PM
Gosh, if only anyone had ever said this in the past 8 years.

You don’t say.

Can you imagine if David Graeber was alive to see this?

Matt Yglesias, downplaying the significance of incarcerated nonviolent drug offenders while also showing that 15 years later he appears to have still not read The New Jim Crow, because this isn’t really its argument.

Oh NOW you want to make sure I understand everything you can do for me.

Well this one’s a bit disappointing. But here’s Ro Khanna, groveling for a partnership with DOGE. Ranting about wasteful spending, progressively.

This is my surprised face that Cenk Uygur 😐 makes this little list of ignominy, but here he is “realizing” that MAGA isn’t and never was his enemy—it was the establishment all along! He’s ready for those “why I left the left” grifter bucks now, Mr. Thiel!

A week after the election, NPR announced a new series called “Seeking Common Ground: Conversations Across the Divide.” The first divide conversed across? An RFK voter plugging her book about how grateful she is for her fiancée’s patience for the six months she decided to be into QAnon.
