But a good opportunity for Lucinda Russelll to give some of her yaks a run and, no surprise, all 3 have won,

Would have said #2 Haydock, except the station was further up the course, behind the stands.

Good shout, the local bookmaker's adverising board a bit af a giveaway?

I agree, desperately disappointing. Ffos Las were given the opportunity to be showcased as the only Saturday UK jumps meeting, yet what they're offering us is no different to one of their humdrum mid-week meetings, with the Towton added on.

So what's new? A publication which has only taken a few years to descend to the gutter, and today only serves to reinforce the twisted views of the small population of elderly bigots who still read it.

Just loved his travelogues. A good human being -- I could almost call him saintly -- but he had his demons. A tragic end.

Fairly confident that Sandown will be on, got hardy Du Seuil going in the last. The more testing the better for him.

A bit unfair as conditions improved slightly after the 1st race.

And, as a goodwill gesture, Chepstow are offering a free ticket to all advanced ticket holders and hospitality bookers for any meeting up to 31st March. Can't say fairer than that.

I see the feature race at Newcastle was named in commemoration of the top handicap hurdler Billy Bow. He was owned by my great aunt and she was heartbroken after he collapsed and died after winning the 1968 Ladbroke Hurdle (carrying 12-4). She then sold her other horses and only lived another year 😢

And Wetherby starting at the quite ridiculous time of 10.35. Lucinda Russell's lorry would have to set off in the middle of the night to be there in time.
