#HandsOnTrad - Last Saturday was a really special day at Fahy's Farm / Feirm Úi Fhathaigh in Galway City.
This was the first traditional building skills event to be held there, and hopefully this is just the beginning of nudging this beautiful vernacular farm complex awake.

Galway City Building of the Month for May is Swan House (RPS. 4201); sitting with a quiet heftiness on the corner of Flood Street & Spanish Parade for over 400 years, it is one of the best surviving late medieval houses in the city. 1/3

Delighted to have received funding from @heritagecouncil.ie & have appointed consultants to undertake a Vernacular Heritage Survey of Baile an Dúlaigh.

The survey will be undertaken by Deirdre McDermott & Áine Doyle, who have a wide experience & understanding of recording vernacular heritage.
