Aspiring autism/neurodiversity writer/advocate (I'm autistic myself), father, husband, lover of obscure rock music, multiple pet owner, supply chain worker. I wrote a book called What Does Your Face Mean? An Informational Memoir on Late-Diagnosed Autism.
After finding out I was autistic in my 40's, a lot of my past made more sense: work experiences, dating, and social interactions to name a few. Some are hilarious, some are sad and frustrating. I hope I can help other autistic adults and their loved ones gain understanding through these experiences.

There could be more people in your house, extra social events, added pressure to join in, stress around gift giving, the expectation to have fun, and unusual food. You're not broken because you don't enjoy the holidays!

Sending extra love to autistic people! Just a reminder, there's nothing wrong with you if you don't enjoy the holidays. Holiday songs and movies make it look like everyone is supposed to be full of endless happiness because it's the holiday season. The holidays are hard when you're autistic!
