Can’t believe I’m saying it, but if and when it happens again on Sunday, that’s him done - it’s the same problems and mistakes every single game with zero sign of knowing how to resolve it

I’ve gone from thinking he’s unsackable to thinking if that happens again on Sunday, he’s done

It’s fucking shocking

Same style of play is too much for them every time - and every time the other team does it, we play like we’ve never encountered it before. No plan B beyond sending on 5 forwards which hadn’t worked once yet.

I’ve got a few and this might be the best 👆

My history teacher in the 1980s showed us newspaper articles from pretty much every decade since newspapers were printed saying 'everything was better 50 years ago'

Just set Rooney straight right to his face 😂

Concentrating on the champions league

Great article. Followed your advice a few times on a recent Cologne - Hamburg - Copenhagen - Stockholm rail trip. Absolutely superb and even got seat 61 on the Eurostar

It’s a prime example of him being given preferential treatment and how right wing our media is. Any other leader would have been hammered for it. Definitely career ending for Starmer, Davey, Polanski

It was even worse than I thought it'd be. As well as ignoring or downplaying everything you mention there was absolutely no mention of the recent Legia Warsaw ban at Villa Park, or the current Frankfurt ban - turned it off

It’s not just a structure/formation/new player thing - the amount of bad first touches and passes can’t last forever. It’s unreal how many situations break down because of a bad touch/pass - something we’ve been great at for years

It is and the good people of Stirchley don’t want far right thugs putting up flags to provoke and intimidate the locals. Be good to know why the police are protecting the far right as they put up their flags. But they don’t protect the locals when they take them down: bsky.app/profile/khua...
Flags went up in Stirchley a few days ago & were taken down by local residents the same evening.

The men returned with a cherry picker and coned off parts of the road with police accompanying them as they put up new flags along the High Street.

Residents who object have been met with verbal abuse.

Get this blatant far-right intimidation challenged and stopped immediately and I’ll think about joining. Not words, actions. bsky.app/profile/khua...

Get this bollocks addressed at a national level and stopped and I’ll join tomorrow: bsky.app/profile/khua...

We saw it yesterday at the Trump/Starmer press conference. An idiot from GB News praised Trump for saying the US is a Christian country, then asked Starmer if the UK was also one. It was a stupid, deliberately divisive question but clearly demonstrated the tactics of the far right.

Spot on. I’ve never heard one of them actually articulate a ‘legitimate concern’ - they’re racist bellends and shouldn’t be given an inch

I’m a Liverpool fan and don’t like Carragher on LFC commentary. He’s just too emotional and it works both ways - he hammers LFC players for mistakes in a way he wouldn’t for any other club.

Liverpool haven’t got going yet but have 12 points from 12. They’ll only get better. It was a good defensive effort from Burnley but you won’t stay up sticking 10 behind the ball like today.
September 14, 2025 at 3:29 PM
Sadly, I think that’s definitely part of it
September 13, 2025 at 5:55 PM
Yeah I know and the BBC’s role in that has changed recently. I worked there when the then DG proudly made a point of not bowing to the Daily Mail and the populist right gobshites. But now they’ve now stepped into line. As evidenced by their reporting today (never mind their obsession with Kirk)
September 13, 2025 at 5:48 PM
Agree - I was at the Iraq one. But the BBC downplays/ignores much bigger, more frequent demos and now leads with a smaller one. They’re fuelling and promoting a very vocal minority of extremists. I want to know why.
September 13, 2025 at 5:24 PM
100k is absolutely piss poor for a ‘massive demo’ promoted for ages. Did they point that out?
